Introduces the care of both well and sick children within the role of the Practical Nurse.  The focus is on growth and development from infancy to adolescence.  Selected common childhood conditions are discussed.  Relevant psychosocial and ethnocultural concepts are integrated throughout.  The nursing process is used as a framework to assist the learner in understanding basic pediatric and family needs and nursing care.
